About

Kevin Smith bio

Kevin Smith has been training hockey players in the Long Island area for over 20 years. Having played Division III collegiate hockey, Kevin brings a wealth of experience and passion to his craft. He specializes in teaching private lessons, small-group lessons, and clinics that emphasize skill development allowing players to achieve their full potential. Kevin strongly believes that skating is by far the most important skill in the game, and focuses heavily on power skating when working with students. He currently teaches approximately 400 private lessons annually.

In addition to training hockey players, Kevin is a career physical education teacher with 20 plus years experience in teaching sports skills to young athletes. He utilizes a variety of effective teaching strategies to ensure that students are always on-task and working at an appropriate level of difficulty. More importantly, Kevin creates a learning environment that is both challenging and fun!
